Just read a post on installing a 2500# Warn winch. Noticed two guys said they had purchased Warn winches for $69. ??? If I remember correctly, I spent about $300 for my Superwinch. Just like to know where to find these GOOD deals!

The $69.00 Warn 2500lb Winch deal is offered as a promotion for new Arctic Cat buyers (Other makers offer similar deals on Warn 2000lb winches). It does not include installation, but is a heck of a deal.

You're right there, it is a good deal! I wish I had been offered a deal like that when I bought my Foreman in '99! Jim

My dealer charged me $50 to instally the $69 warn winch and it has been a life saver. Just checkout some of the stuff we get stuck in. If you can get one for that deal then do it. It will pay for itself if you are really getting out there. I've used it to get unstuck and to hual a cow out of an overflowing creek. $69 winched saved a $500-600 cow.

Well, we (the dealership I work for) are including installation in the prep of the ATV. I was talking to ED, the one who does most of the ATV work, and he said that the installation was easy and very straight forward. The switch is in a perfect position if you ask me. It's not completely in reach when you are in your normal riding position, so you don't bump it. But it is still very reachable if you lossen your grip alittle.

On a side note, the 375 is one hard working bike. It took atleast 20 minutes for us to get the fan to come on and when it shut down we let it run for another 5 minutes and it still didn't come on again so we shut it down. Ed was starting to get impatient, I TOLD him that he was gonna have a hell of a time trying ot get the fan to kick on on this bike.

That is definitely a part of a promo. You aren't going to be finding a winch for $69 by itself unless its a hand cranker. Actually getting the 2500 as part of a promo would be sweet. It costs quite a bit more if you are buying, yet the only difference between the two is the cylenoid and switch. The factory AC handlebar mounted switch is probably one of the best ideas I've seen as well. I guess that will top their "manufacturer firsts list" in place of the rocker shifter! ha ha (I like the rocker shifter though)

Andy-
I agree, I REALLY like that new feature of the in/out switch mounted there on the handlebars. I like the rotary switch the least, and the remote is nice to be away from the machine, but man, that handlebar switch is pretty cool!

Hope work is getting better for ya, maybe one of these days you'll get off of that damned grave shift!

Best of Luck,

Mike

Boner - a quick question about the 375's. I plan on buying an AC this spring, and really can't decide between the 300, 375 and 400 4x4. I will be doing some plowing (usually only up to a foot of snow). I have heard concerns that the 300 and 375 being air/oil cooled might not be good choices for this type of work. They say the 400 is a better choice because it is water cooled. First, is this the case with these machines? Second, what do you think?

Well, not sure about the 400, but it seems to be that MY 500 had it's fan kick on before the 375's fan kicked on.Never compared the 500(we have no 400s yet) to the 375 cooling wise tho. And I talked to ED the other day and he said he actually had it running for 30-40 minutes before it kicked on.

As for what I would recomend, I personally preffer a manual transmission for working. But I've heard that a snowblade requires good bit of speed and an automatic would give you a more consistant powersupply over the manual. So, I guess it's just a personal prefference.
