I don't know about your 250, but my 300 oil is also the oil that is used for the transmission. The only other oil that I have to change is the front differential (4x4).

If I were you I would change my oil, it seem's like I read somewhere else that sombody else had a similar situation. Scan the other boards.

Since I have a little experience with dealing with a drowned AC250... First drain the engine oil then flush (if necessary) with K1. Second, drain the gas from the carb, and spray the hoses with carb cleaner. Third, dry the air box (if it is at all wet). Fourth, change the front diff oil (if the oil looks at all milky). I'd also add a little mystery oil to the gas and added card cleaner. Another thing to do is to take out the drain plug on the exhaust to drain any water out. Don't worry everyone will have this problem sooner or later. Working on your machine is half the fun. Oh yea, don't let the dealers scare you. When in doubt ask the guys here on the forum.

thanks, it works like normal but it smells bad. like burned oil or something. it feels like something is pulling it back, but maybe i am just used to the cdale but it decelerates much jerkier and quicker(arctic cat). i just had the boot replaced so maybe that is why.

Help!!! Also I have just flooded my AC 250 and since I have drained all fluids (oil, gas) and added fuel drier to new tank, I have took apart and cleaned entire carb!
Still Idles funny, it will start, then it will idle a little high, then it slows idle and then it will switch low to med idle every 10 seconds or so.
When I take off the air filter, it idles a little better, with the filter on I must idle her up about a turn or so.
I am going to get a new air filter.

Also the atv has backfired ever since I bought it, if you go down a hill in first or run it really fast and let off the gas. what is this?

Please help I am really desperate!!!!!

Jt

Is is it shooting out flame or just back popping. The back popping will be normal be normal on fast decels or coming down a hill due to engine compression.. Mine does that and I asked the dealer and some people at the HL forum and they tol me this is normal.
