ok guys i posted a while back about my friends arctic cat 500 that the tranny went out.seems that the tranny its self is busted dont know anything else this is what dealer told him.

good news is arctic cat is gonna stand behind it even though warrenty is out.So i guess he got pretty lucky on that if you ask me.also i think that is a postive sign for AC to stand behind it.
im sure theres alot of raptor owners that wish yamaha would step up and do the same.

 

I have heard similar stories about Arctic Cat standing behind their product even out of warranty. I have always had very good luck in dealing with them. I know some others that can't say the same. But I can say nothing bad abot AC. They are a fairly new competitor in the ATV market, and it takes some time to get noticed. I find them better to deal with than any of the larger companies. I have e friend with a certain brand that has a lot of water pump failures. He took his in for a leaking water pump seal, they took it apart and found some sand inside the cover. THey told him that they would not cover it because of water damage. This certain model is known for water pump seal failures. It was bearly a month old, it is now on it's 4th water pump all paid for by him. There are many others but you get my point.
I'm glad to haer about your friends good luck, this does surpize me.

 

mudcat i bet i know what brand you are talking about i think i just sold 1 water pump went out i tore it down replaced everything.less than 2 weeks later it was leaking again. so i took it back to the dealer i bought it from and sold it to him.this quad was only 9 months old too.
