The mileage thing all depends on how you drive it. I have the 500manual and only get in the mid 30's till I have to switch to reserve. (around 2 ½- 3 gallons used) But I rarely go over 15-20mph. As for the brakes mine didn't seem to hook up well till I had around 200 miles.

Hello again...My 500i is green, I chose that color over the red one...It had to be 'fetched' from another dealer in the next state (NY) cuz my dealer didnt have the auto in stock....Glad to have the auto, lemme tell u....I rode a 500 ACT manual, and I didnt care for the manual shift (that damn shifter!)...The auto is just too much fun...I checked my seat (as others have suggested) but didnt find any excess plastic that could be affecting the latching mechanism...Still doesnt like to latch down (I just kneel on it and it latches)...Called the dealer, they are tracking down the spare key (I WILL get that thing, especially after reading about rides4fun losing his key in a rollover (see atvnation.com))...I must say there are a LOT of people discussing Arctic Cat ATV's online, both here and other BBS's...Some very good reading, worth your time...Some EXCELLENT pics being posted about 500i suspension flex and the like...500i owners: Where do you get (cheap) engine oil filters? Or do you use the AC ones? Does anybody have any recommendations on air filter oil? 'Till next time-ride safe!! (And pray for our soldiers in Afghanistan) :-)
