Well, I must admit that I am somewhat impressed with the new Arctic Cats. I own 2 Honda's that have been very good and overall I have been somewhat skeptical of the qaulity of the North American machines. But the Arctic Cats do seem to be well built and I haven't heard of too many problems. Anyway, I was wondering about the slow speed ride quality of the 375 compared to the 500i. The Honda's are great, but they ride like cr*p and my back can't take it any more. A friend has a King Quad and the difference in ride is night and day compared to my Honda. The King Quad is way better and his suspension is similar to that of the AC ACT system. Can you tell me your thoughts on the subject? Good quading.

A Cat 375 has twice the suspension travel of the KQuad, a 500i has almost 3 times the travel, enuf said!!!

I have a 500i and I love it. Either way you go, you'll find excellent ride quality. The independant is stiff enough to not squat out (I weigh 170 lbs and I stood on the trailer hitch and held onto the rack and the thing went down about an inch at most... not kidding at all and that's at the softest suspension setting), but it is incredibly forgiving on the uneven terrain. If you thought the king quad was nice, like Sxr6 said double it and you're laugh'n.

The 375 suffers from a lot of body roll. Although I'll gladly take the body roll in exchange for its slow speed trail traits. On Easter we went riding with 2 700SPs, and 3 500SPs with no trouble keeping up on the rough stuff. To be honest I was a little surprised at how well the entire suspension system worked. There was never a time when the Cat felt like it needed more ground clearance. Besides which it has 4 less CV boots. Any Cat will make you smile.

The fully independent suspension of the i's are more comfortable and give you about and inch and a half more ground clearance than the 375. But the i's only come in manual tranismissions which I prefer. They both have a high and low range which is nice. Saturday I had to push my uncles 2 wheel drive 300 honda up a really steep muddy hill and the low range handled it with a breeze even stopping and starting several times on the hill. I tried it in high range first, but although it was pushing, I needed a little more grunt. I have been over a lot of rough terrain and my 400i rides absolutely great. It handels and turns much better than the older Cats that my neighbors have!
