How many miles do you have on it? The 500i I believe should get about 53mph after break in. But ACs are not made for speed and will not win very many drags, but will win in the pulls

That's cool. That is right about where it should be.

I say the front diff on all the 2002 arctic cats are all a POS. No better than the competition. I'm 3 wheeling here and there and everywhere. There is the odd time where it doesn't 3 wheel but thats just a fluke.

As for speed, when you get past 45 mph the quad sounds like its going to kill itself. It screams !! Thats almost abusing your quad making it rev that high. I would never hit 50 mph with mine, I'm afraid the motor would blow up or something. 45 mph is as fast as I will take it.

well it is nice to know some other people agree that the AC feels like it is gonna expload over 45mph. We had the gps and clocked it at 46.6 this weekend. I am sure it could have went a bit faster.. but it was screaming as it was. Keep in mind though that that is with two people on the quad. I, myself, don't see a need in going that fast regularly. We were on logging roads.. but still going that fast you have to keep all your attention on controlling the bike at such a fast speed than enjoying the scenery. We did most of our riding in tight muddy trails.. where the AC really shines.
