Has anyone ever broke the piece off the motor where the rubber line connects to the engine for the crank case vent? It's on the right side of the engine behind the oil filter.

I went on an over night camping/atving trip with some friends and we didn't get 1/4 mile from camp on our first ride and one of them had this happen to them. The same stick that broke the vent also took out the right rear cv boot.

One more thing, does the 300 have something that kills the engine if the oil pressure is lost? When this happened my buddy's machine ran for a while and then died.

I think this may be the line for the oil cooler instead of a vent for the crank case.
