how do I make the 90 go faster????

Default how do I make the 90 go faster????

My little brother has a suzuki 80 and it has 3 governors on it. 1 in the intake, 1 in the exaust, 1 on the trottle.

Go on any of the mini forums including the one here.There are tons of parts to make the mini's rip and lots of dealers who specialize in nothing but racing and hopping up these little machines. The AC units did also have a ring on the clutches to keep them from shifting out all the way.Yours may or may not have it depending on the year.They also have a huge rear sprocket to limit top end.If you remove the ring and put on a smaller rear sprocket you will pick up quite a bit of speed.

Does anyone know how to remove the plate in the clutch and the limiter in the carb. Dealer want $150.00 to do it

Do all the AC 90's use a CVT. My buddy has a 4 stroke one for his boy, but it does not seem to shift. I always assumed it was a centrifugal clutch with no ratio variation. But does this atv have a belt tranny?
He is looking at dumping it because its too slow. The thing has geat bottom end power and we were thinking of gearing it for more speed and giving up some on the bottom. But if it needs the ring in the clutch removed and we can give it longer legs with gears too then he would likely hang on to it for awhile. His Boy is 7 and @ 60 lbs and rides pretty agressive for a little fellow.

The carb limiter is usually a ring on top of the slide to prevent full throttle opening, you can just unscrew the top of the carb, remove the slide, there should be a metal ring on top of the slide, you will have to remove the cable to allow removal of the ring. then reassemble the carb, and you are done. Some also have a screw or bolt at the thumb throttle to limit travel of the throttle lever at the handlebar. The clutch is a little more involved, I believe they put a spacer in the rear (secondary) sheave to prevent the belt from climbing up and giving you a higher top end gear ratio. This requires taking the secondary apart to remove the spacer, not the easiest job for a beginner mechanic, but doable with a service manual.

Nice! I need to try that on my 08' 90 cc. It is a dog too. But, I have little imps who cannot even ride well yet, so is it easy to reverse the process? Sounds like it. Big.
