My wench has lost all its power, It will run but has no pulling power. Has anyone had this happen to theirs? and what was the cause.

Whats a wench? If you mean winch, check your battery connections for dirt and or corrosion.Your swich may be only passing half the juice to winch motor.

Sounds like 1 set of points is sticking. Pull it apart & give it a good cleaning.

Do you use your winch to secure your atv while traveling? I had a problem in the past where the winch sounded like it worked but did not pull. It was a Warn #2000. I used to use it to secure to the trailer. After talking to the Warn rep., he told me to take the housing off the right side (right side when looking at the winch) and check the gear inside. Sure enough the gear on the plastic housing was stripped. The rep said this was a common problem when people use the winch to secure to the trailer, the jarring caused by the trailer bouncing when traveling puts extreme stress on the plastic housing and can eventually wear it out. I ordered a new housing, had a simple replace, and was back in business. Good luck.
