help with 300 2002 motor problems
#1
Hello,
I am new to group and my 300 4x4 2002, in Nov. my motor quit with 410 miles on it. I had changed oil and filter 3 times. I took it to dealer the Sat. before Thanksgiving and I am still waiting for it to get done. It needed new transmission/motor block, bearings. I guess it was factory defect because the crankshaft broke. I'm still waiting to get it back from the shop. My friends say I should ask for a new one, what is everyone's opinion on this? I love everything about it, but am very disappointed that this happened so soon after buying it and now I'm worried about getting it back and not working right after the warranty runs out.
Help!

"Flat", don't sweat it. These cats are bullet proof. You probably just got unlucky with that specific motor.
These atvs are relatively simple, and have proven themselves. Once you get it back, break in the motor right and then go ride the heck out of it...
