Default Kodiak or AC400????

Thanks everyone for the input. I took the day off work tomorrow to go test drive them all and buy it. Looks like I will also be test driving a used 2000 Grizzley. it has 1600 miles on it but it is only $4800, so it may be a possibility. I will keep you posted.

Rincon

When I mean get wet its because we go through some pretty deep stuff!

Its headlight high or better! No this guy is a mechanic for western auto! he won this bike in a DU Contest

The mud thing in the gear box did happen. As a matter of fact we fixed it last night! It was mud not lettong it set in the gear set it the right place"not ingauged all the way" As you said.

You guys have to understand when we ride its not your typical weekend mud, This is a all out war in the swamps. Im ean the possiblity of stuff tearing up is imenent!

The new Kodiak is an automatic with a belt drive, similar to the Grizz.

I guess Sxr6 is a little behind the times.

Haven't tried them or seen them in action enough to know. They look like bi-claws on steroids. If your in to muddin I wouldn't go to a smaller tire. I will tell you one that was somewhat impressive. 27X12X12 Super Swampers. They measured out to 31" tall with about 8lbs of air. I made the guy get out the air gauge and prove it. I thought he had 60lbs of air in them. They were several in. taller than my 28 laws. They only bad thing is they weren't very aggressive.

CatKrazy-I'm not going to argue with you about how serious a mudder you are, but think about what you said, if the water comes over the headlights than YES water will get into the belt housing! The air intake for the tranny is under the black plastic piece under the front rack ( the exhaust is at the rear) So unless it's snorkled it will get wet!

As for the gearbox, you must mean the range selector, because like you were arguing about with srx6, the kodiak doesn't have gears, it has a belt.

I think you should get the 450 Kodiak, it has a lot more features than the 400 now.
