Biggest tires on a 400 ACT?
Just one other thought. If I had to do it all over again....I would buy a 500 cc Arctic Cat. From what I have read here on this forum it just has "that much more power". Will my 400i do what I what. You bet!
It has never failed me. However I think that a 500 would do it that much better. I mostly compare my 400i to a 450 Honda Foreman. Each machine delivers power in a slight different way, but when climbing steep hills in deep snow, the Honda 450 just seems to have more of that low end grunt needed when in third gear. Bottom line, my buddy and his 450 Honda travel in third or fourth gear....3rd will take him up most hills in deep snow; just a spinning and climbing. If I tackle the same hill, I most likely will be in low range 3rd gear. If the revs stay up I might make it....but if I have to shift to second I will definitely have the power to make it but make lack the speed.
What I bought the machine for was moose hunting. The Arctic cat will pull....period. When I hook up to a moose, nothing stands in my way. With that awesome clearance and those Bearclaws grabbing I just run right over anything in my way.
Each and every machine does things just a bit differently....kinda like motorcycles. Learn what your machine does and then ride what you like....like what you ride.
