500 Automatic or Sportsman 500
#31
I did it. Yesterday I took my AutoCat back to the dealer, nice guy that he is, and he is going to try to get $6K for it. I get $5,8..Super Swampers and 102 miles. Car Wash and a little Armor-All. Then I went over and picked up a red
Sportsman 500. I put 20 miles on it last night.
It is smoother riding, no lean or "body roll" in the turns or on off-cambers. Better ground clearance, pretty much the same acceleration, more top speed (57mph) Much more confidence on roads or rough trails. I have not yet tried any difficult climbs with it but it climbed some gravel piles easily. Anyway, I never have been a cat person, and though the AutoCat had a lot going for it. It is not for me. The Sportsman is the one for me. Since I now have 3 Polarises, I guess I won't bother you guys over here anymore. I think the thing about Polaris is that they just plain Handle better than anything else, and that is what is most important to me. Silly Later, Fourlix
