custom 250SX question?
I have a 250SX with custom suspesion that I built my self. I got the most I could with the stock shock and shaft drive. I moved the shock mount foward to cantilever the shock more. It now has 8 1/2 inches of travel. It works beautiful. But in some situations it preloads wierd. Because the back is softer. Does any on know what kind of forks would fit the 250sx. It has the stock triple trees. Would 250r Forks fit in the trees.

custom 250SX question?
I put 350x front forks on mine. They were a straight swap, no mods necessary. They work beautifully. Look on ebay and you should be able to find a complete set with front tire and disk brake. Nice upgrade.
About a year ago I tracked down a big-bore kit for the SX. I contacted the manufacturer directly. They were very motivated to get these things off there shelves. They made me a very sweet offer on the kit. I don't recall the price. I'll try to find the email. I will also look for the name of the manufacturer.
If your interested in seeing picks of the sx with the 350x forks go to - http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/valerius400
I'd love to see picks of your rear end set-up. One thing that is disappointing after my front end conversion is the stock rear end. there is no comparison between front and rear on my SX now.

custom 250SX question?
heehaw, your front end probably pushed so bad because the longer forks decreased the steering rake. but with a taller rearend it should even it out.
on the big bore kit, www.powroll.com has a smokin deal on a 2mm oversize piston with 10.5 to 1 compression. comes with piston, rings, and wristpin. normally $140, now $25. look under their sale section. i have an old 3 wheeling issue where they installed a mugen 300cc bore kit on a 85 big red 250. they appeared to be pretty impressed.

custom 250SX question?
I got the picsof my sx up. Click on the camera under my user picture and name on the left. The only thing is when you horse the gas the bak end is so soft it lifts up. Its a real problem when you jump because as soon as you leave the lip of the jump i usually hit the gas and it preloads the backend up and triesto endo it. The new V-force has 9.5 inches of travel and is shaft drive. I have to mess withe the shock angle to get the preload right.
