Default REAR AXLE BEARINGS

(1985 Honda 250R)I don't have the manual and need some qick help. Looking at the bike from the back which direction does the axle need to slide out.I'm replacing bearings.

I don't know if all Honda's are the same, but for my bike, standing at the back, it slid out to the left, the side the sprocket (and shifter) was on.

Default REAR AXLE BEARINGS

you're right on the axle, it comes out the left side. remember that the axle nuts are left hand threads and you need to thread the outer nut away from the snap ring on the right side of the axle to get it out. there's a spacer/cover thing that fits over the snap ring and compresses it on the 85.
