help with my 200es frame 1984
i waz involed in a head on wreck saturday with a bear tracker 250 and we hit head on at about 30-35mph. my handle bars are bent my forks are bent and my front part of my from the part that is a straight bar that comes from the bottom of the frame up pass the head pipe to the top of the frame where the forks are well it kinda has a bend in it where it leans. so if u have any ideas on if i could fix that or how could it be done. i waz thinkin cut the bent piece out and weld another piece in its place. please let me no thanks[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

Well, as far as the forks go, you have alot of other ATC models you can yank the fork from at a junkyard.
'83 ATC185S
'82-'83 ATC200E BigRed
'84 ATC200ES BigRed[ofcourse]
'84-'86 ATC200S
'84-'85 ATC200M
Then are the other 185 and 200 models that did not have front suspension. These forks will swap with yours as well, but I figure you want to keep your suspended forks....LOL
As for the frame being bent.......besides replacing it, the cut out and weld option you described is only other solution.
The 1984 200ES you have has a frame like no other ATC. The difference ofcourse is where the swingarm attaches. You will have to have the frame from an 1984 200ES.
