The tank on my ATC250R was scratched and badly faded. I used a product called Plastic Re-Nu (Maybe Re-New) it works great Ive also used it on other ATVs and dirt bikes. Checkout the (After) pictures of the ATC on my page to see the results.

First, sand down the faded area's with some 1000 or 1500 grit wet and dry sand paper using soap and water let it dry, then polish it out with some rubbing compound to get rid of the hazing. Wash it down good with soap and water. Then wipe the tank down with straight Mop & Glo on a rag and let it dry, you will have to do it a couple of times with the Mop & Glo and then it will shine real nice. After riding the mud rinses right off and keep it protected with the Mop & Glo after each ride on all your plastic.

That dont sound like to bad of an idea, hadnt tried that yet. i think i got some 1000 or 1500 grit paper layin around to. Thanks.
