help with atc 200 float??
I bought new float for my honda 200. I was getting too much fuel. I can't figure out what keeps float in proper position. I was told there is a "tang" for this?? Is this part of the actual plastic float or part of the frame of the float. I can't find anything in the vicinity that resembles this part. Where can i get one?? Any help is appreciated. I have the clymer on this 3-wheeler but can't make out this particular diagram. Once again thanks for any help.

help with atc 200 float??
jdm,
There are two types of floats on the 200 carbs depending on the year model. After all these years, very few have the stock carb, so it's hard to go only with that info in regards to whih float you are suppose to have. Either float will work in any of the carbs as long as you use the float valve [needle valve] that goes with that particular float.
One uses a plastic float assembly and the other is plastic with a metal frame.
The metal frame float is adjustable and the other made of all plastic is not.
The metal float frame uses a float valve with a loop of wire on it's top. The "wire" rests on the tab of the metal frame. You bend this tab to adjust the float height.
The solid plastic float has a tab also, but ofourse, cannot be adjusted. The tab is made a bit different because it "surrounds" the top of the float valve. Not the best way to put it.....but the only way I know how to describe it at this time anyway.
