350x top speed and all hondas
#61
Who cares what the top speed is? It only matters if your bike is too slow for you. If it is, throw a crotch rocket engine in it and it wont matter anymore. You'll be faster than everyone on your block. Put a 998 in it you'll do 140mph no problem. Then have your family invite us to the funeral. Ride only as fast as YOU can handle. Unless you drag race it really doesn't matter, as long as you are having a good time and staying alive doing it. That's my 3 cents
PS Hondas are the best 3-Wheelers ever made so tell your friend to try smoking something different in his pipe.

I was wondering why everyone is obesessed with straight line top speed - YAWN - not to exciting if ya ask me - which ya didnt - anyway - i love my 350 and when i am more comfy on it plan to do a few mods. Anyone that has one or ridden one knows they are bad azz bikes. When we are on the trail and stop people come up to me all the time to comment on my bike and how much they want one - these are guys on 2002 - 2005 quads and they are drooling over my 1985 350 - that says a hell of a lot to me.
well all this reading has given me the itch - i think i am gunna go for a ride.

My dads friend had an 84 250r with an oversized carb, jetted adn it had a pipe. and he could beat him start to finish. He also said that it would beat an 85 350x. he said that he could beat by 10 ft or so.

If your 350X isnt breaking 60mph theres something seriously wrong with it. My 200x would hit a little over 60 granted that was driving along side a car but same results multilple times and with different cars. A 350x should do in the 65-70mph range stock and with 20in tires I don't think thatd make more then a few mph difference not 10mph

I don know how you all have your 350x set up but i have a stock bore , 12/1 wiscoe piston i installed heavy duty valve springs with spark plug washers under them a one size over jet with a White brothers header a 15 tooth front sprocket and a 36 tooth rear sprocket with factory tires and have been clocked with as radar gun at 105 mph. and have been know to bust Banchees *** on bottom or top end. The 350 X is the Best Fastest 3wheeler honda ever made. the reason for the heavy duty valve springs is because the 350 doesn't have a
Rev limiter and the reason it turns out and quit turning is because it turns till it Floats the Valves and adding heavy duity valve springs allows it to turn an additional 1000 rpm

Nope wrong. '85, '86 ATC 250R was the fastest three wheeler honda ever made. Not as much torque, but more top speed. Or the prototype ATC 500R was the fastest three wheeler ever made. I guess it all depends on how you look at it. Production vs Prototype.

As far as I know thats true but they didn't exactly have any competition considering the next biggest four-stroke three-wheeler was a 250sx or a Big-Red. Everything was 2-stroke for high-performance back then.
