Default Piece of Junk

Yesterday i somehow managed to frickin break a bar on my frame 350x in two on a little jump, this is bullsh!t!! Now i have to take it all the way to the bare frame and get that stupid thing welded wich i decided before that i was just gonna fix the main stuff it needed and just ride. Well i guess this might be a good thing since if i'm gonna take the whole thing apart i'm gonna replace everything thats bad on it, and give her a new paint job on the frame and swingarm. Is this a common thing to happen on a 350x or is just a freak thing? Its probably my bad luck. Let me know what you all think.

My brother-in-law told me that a buddy of his had his 350x out jumpin and he broke part of the frame too. I don't think that its gonna be that hard to strip it down to the frame, so as soon as i get my service manual in i'm gonna start on her. Do the welds usually hold good or am i gonna have to find another frame, i mean its just one little part on the frame.

I hear that frame breakage is common on 350x's. It is high on the list of things to look for when buying a used trike. That being said, I have 3 350x's and 1 spare frame and only 1 has been broken and that happened before I got it. I am going to have mine fixed within a couple of weeks and will let you know how it turns out.

yes, i have welded several spots on my brothers 350x. usually we spot the cracks and take care of them right away. so far it has been a muffeler mount, engine mount, foot peg mount,... oh, and i think the bar behind the engine had a crack that i patched up. i hope that i can keep it in one piece. i would hate to see it die.
