I love them because you can show up at a poker run that has 500-800 quads in the pits and before you can unload, you have half the people there coming over to look at the trikes. And when the 450r guys see the 85 r's you hear: Oh, we are in trouble at the drags!!

 

theyre better at cornering and to flip a U turn. my friend on his raptor he has to 3 point turn on a trail, and me just bust a U easily.

 

mystereid, yes I went by ltracerx back then and am from Bend(Redmond now). Must have been you, I remember you complained about my driveway being too bumpy(that was fun trying to fix when we sold that property[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] ). Anyway, that thing looks good! Are you going to DuneFest this year?

I think we can all relate to what everyone has previously posted about "why". Just the other day I stopped at our local honda shop to get some oil and just happened to have my trike in my truck this time. Just about everyone on staff came out to take a look and some made some offers for it. I've contemplated selling it for financial reasons but have held on for now. They're just simply awesome.

I remember the honda dealer in 84' when we picked up the R' that I now own. 250sx, 350x and the 250r's just waiting to be ridden. They all got my attention.

I think I love the nostalgia affect the most. The stares, the 'what's that' from the kids who've never seen one.

Just last weekend my son and I went out (he has an 85' ATC 70) and I thought it was the coolest thing when I let him lead on the trail. Now I know why my dad bought them - just too much fun!

I am looking for an ATC250sx for my wife. She hates the kickstarter on my bike (nor does she care for the clutch a whole lot) - but she gets TONS of looks when she goes crusing down the beach at pismo.. There's something about scantily clad females on 250r's.. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

And I like beating bikes that cost 4x the cost of my R'.. Hehehe..

 

thats true these dudes that payed 5K on a 350 raptor, i smoked them on my $1200 350x, they to feel embarassed and stupid

 

1. more skill to ride a trike
2. way cheaper
3. they are more fun to put sideways.
4. wheelies
5. funny looks as you pass people

 

i ride quads and trikes i have 250r that i love and a 400ex that i love to i switched ouver cuz i couldnt find any parts for my trike but trikes take 100% more skill than a quad plus im way better on trikes than i am at qauds
