greasing
#2
The 3 places that you want to pay attention to are the rear axle carrier, swingarm pivot area, and the steering head.
All three places can be easily modified to accept a zerk fitting making greasing a snap. Just drill the hole, thread it, and scew in the fitting. You can buy zerk fittings at any automotive supply house.
I have seen a few guys even drill and add a zerk fitting on the front wheel hub.....BUT I have also seen some cracked hubs later on as a result from it. Front wheel bearings are cheap to replace and even removing the hub to pack it with grease is fairly easy so I wouldn't bother modifying the front wheel hub for a zerk fitting.
