New to ATC's.... 350X & 250SX ....
As I posted in the 350X thread, I'm new to ATC's. I have about a an hour or total time on a friend's 250R......loved it! I have about 5 friends with 250R's. I was shopping for a 250R when a great deal on the package you see below came up. I Just got home with these little guys...

Sorry for the poor photos, it's currently raining in So Cal, and I had to stuff them in the garage as soon as I got home.
That's a 1986 250SX, and a '85 350X. The SX needs new plastic. The 350X though needs VERY little, the plastic is great on it. Both have really good seats and tanks. I look forward to seeing some of you out on the trails. I plan to ride around the Needles/Fort Mahove area mainly, that's where I keep my boat. For now, I'll be doing local trips with the 350X, until I get used to it. I've been a lurker here for while, and learned a lot from you all already.

Thanks guys!!! I took the 350X out to clean it this morning. I had planned to change all fluids, filters, and the spark plug before firing it up....but I got a little excited.....she fired up fast and easy. I took her up and down the street a fews times, and LOVED IT!!! The only issue I had was the rear brake sticking on. It needs new brake pads (I think it still has the originals). the master cylinder is probably just sticky from sitting. The other issue I noticed is the left front fork had been leaking. This bike had not run since June, so the previous owner told me. That's why I was shocked to fire it so fast and easy.

I got both the bikes you see below, and the trailer for $1300.....I think I got a very good deal. I bought it from my buddy's Uncle, who needed them out of his garage, and wanted some extra Christmas money. My buddy explained that the 350X is worth an easy $1300, the trailer and 250SX are pretty much just tossed in with the deal. Needless to say, I'm happy!!!

Looks like an 85 250SX. You got a great deal for the pair. You may want to check out www.3wheeler.org They have a good message board for 3Wheelers. There are a few of us OC guys there.

350X vs 250R
Hey i just got my hands on an 85 350X, some lady had sitting in her barn for cheap, said the motor was rebuild a couple yrs ago. I've driven the 250R before and was just wondering what to expect in comparison of the two. I've heard the 350 can be killer to start. Anybody got any mod pointers i should look into to get best performance out of it?
