I have a 1982 Honda atc 200 that will not keep its spark. I bought it and i had to pull it with my car to get it to start. And sometimes it wont even spark at all. It didnt have any spark at all last week, but it ran fine yesterday and now its back to no spark. I think it might have something to do with a lose wire or something but i couldnt find one. Could anyone give me some pointers? Its driving me crazy. Thanks for your time.

 

If you can get it running........start it and wiggle the wires where they go into the left cover, if it dies after you wiggle the wires, you found the prob. They break right at the point where the enter the cover. Or you can remove the cover and Ohm the wires and wiggle them to see if you have a break. I had to resolder a new wire into the wifes LT230, it did the same exact thing. that is one possibility
