i bought a 200x today and when i went to start it up and push the shifter down to shift into first gear it seemed like the was no first gear there, or like something is stopping it from getting into first gear, if you pull the shifter up it goes into second gear fine but why wont it go into first?

 

200x's have a one gear down setup? i believe my bro's was only a five speed

 

all the 5 speed 200x's were 1 down and 4 up.



MOJAVEalltheway.... did you look and see if the shifter is striped on the shifter shaft? Is the clutch adjusted correctly? Do all the other gears work?

all the other gears work, im gonna check out the clutch, it goes into second gear fine but not first, if i find the problem ill let you all know
