i have a 1985 200 ytm 3 wheeler, i really need a recoil assy for this engine since it came without one. paid 50 bucks for the entire 3 wheeler and the recoil assy was really the only major item missing. so i have noway to start it yet.

Just wondering if the 225 engine recoil assy is the same as the 200. this will give me more options to find a recoil assy.

does anyone here have a recoil assy they would sell me for my 200.

 

You could jump start it to see if it runs. If it is nice enough for you willing to spend around 200 dollars to get it running and thats all it needs Bikebandit.com has OEM parts on there and i think there is a starter on there for it. I has everything you need for the starter unit. Its 197.

 

Oh i dont want to spend that kinda money on it. i have seen the 200 and 225 recoil assy complete on ebay for 30 and 40 bucks at end of auction just right now i cant find any 200 recoil assy. just 225. i can get a 225 recoil assy sent to me for 50 bucks shipped off a 225 YTM. thats why im asking if the 200 and 225 are the same.

 

It may swap and it may not depending on which 200 you have.

If you have the 200 that had the recoil start ONLY,....then nothing else from Yamaha will swap with it period.

But if you have the 200 that had both the recoil start AND electric start, then the recoil from any 225 or 250 will work.
