my first three wheeler

The carb (or so I thought) was acting up on mine a while ago, I had cleaned and inspected it at least three times. It would run good for a while then act up again, then I found out why... Seems the filter in the tank wasnt seated properly and was allowing debris to get past it and into the carb.
Took it out, threw it away and put a 3 dollar inline filter in and it's run great ever since.

Yeah I think cookster has a good point. You might want to take your pit-**** out of the 200s and see what it looks like. You might just be running good gas from the other carb left over from the 200m tank. If you really want to make sure you might want to run the 200s with the (good) carb from the 200m for a while and see if it still runs ok and even put the (bad) carb from the 200s on your 200m one and see how it runs.

i have the good carb on the 200s and when i got the 200m i wouldnt run very well so i drain the tank and carb and put fresh gas in and it runs good. i have cleaned both petcocks and they seemed ok the 200m has rust in the tank but the 200s is clean.i have run the 200s with the good carb alot because i have used up atleast four tanks of gas already going fast. i was thinking about putting the bad carb on the 200m but i got the engine tore apart because the big starter gear on the flywheel for the starter well the bolts are sheared off so it is grinding and i dont have a puller? what else could you use other then a puller and how much are they?

well I dont exactly know how the flywheels on 200 is set up. It only looks like the puller is a BOLT!? and one on EBAY!!! or 84-85 200m puller is 15 dollars.
Good Luck!

You could PM Thrashandtrashuntilitstrash or knowsalot if there is anything else you could do to get it off without buying a flywheel puller. It looks like to me that its just a 14mm bolt. Although if you do get a bolt and mess it up how much will it cost ya to get a NEW FLYWHEEL if you dont already need a new one...

When I was rebuilding on of my 9 I asked a local shop about a puller, they said about ten bucks, then said he normally uses a grade 8 bolt and a impact gun. So for fifty or sixty cents that is what I use.

Go to a good hardware store and get a M14 X 1.5 X 50 bolt. It will cost about $2 but it works better than the puller in my opinion because if you get a 8.8 or harder bolt they are harder than the puller. And trust me the bolt will not screw up anything. The $10-$15 puller is just a cheap M14 X 1.5 bolt with a bigger head on it.

hey thanks alot i got the bolt today screwed it in got the air gun and gave it a couple of shots and wam it poped off. but it damage the bolt by bending some threads but it was only a $1 so. i found out that that noise well someone had it apart before and tride to get the starter gear off the flywheel and broke 2 bolts and just left one on there and it couldnt hold it very well so it broke and the bolt jamed up in the camchain tensioner and the gear spun on the flywheel and there is 1 pin to hold it there and it spun and recked the hole it goes in so i have to drill the broken bolts out and replace that peice. i hate the person who did this but its fun to fix things
