Default I'm new here, Looking for correct oil for 1984 Honda 200s

I got my first atv a 86' honda trx350 4x4 in feb. 89' it had under 20hrs when i got it. the guy i bought it from said he used valoline 10w40 regular motor oil. when i changed oil used castrol gtx 10w40 in winter and 20w50 in summer sold honda to younger brother sept. 05 he rides everyday runs as good as new. my second quad a 93'suzuki KQ 4wd quadrunner used same oil, i sold the KQ to brothers wife after i got new 06' Arctic Cat 400 fis auto trv 4x4 feb. 7th 06' changed oil and filter at 100 miles used Cat oil filter but used castrol 20w50 i've got almost 160 miles now, local dealer told me use the same brand i've always used was fine ! When castrol first came out with the syntec oil i started to change ove to it, but the honda dealer told me it might cause the clutch slip with the wet sump ! so just went back to regular castrol gtx 10w40 winter 20w50 sumer. only 3 valve adjustments (did my own labor and i never had to adjust the cluth not even once..........i use the same oil in my 87' S10 pickup and 85' pontiac grand prix over 200,000 miles on S10 and 89,000 miles on pontiac, i wouldn't use anyother brand !.........I know there will be other's who will tell you to change to syntetic oil's for longer life of quad, but if it's not broke don't fix it........i have heard the energy saving oils can do damage to bikes and quads, and they be right so i use the regular oil.........williebee

most of fourwheelers and threewheelers have cintripical clutches i would recomend castrol sae 30 allround use thats what i run in my honda atc 110 and it is 22 yeas old.

and for the older three wheelers having oil filters i recomend change the oil every 30 hrs.
