Default engin seals

i was wondering how hard is it to replace the seals in an 84 250r the other day i saw oil leaking out of the seal on the shifter can some one tell me how to replace them and what others normaly go i just want to replaces them all and where can i get the seals thanks for the help

84 was all by itself, last aircooled bike, last year of the steel gas tank. I think the seal is on the outside if so it is easy to remove, if not you would have to split the cases and that not any fun but first I would make sure I could find a new one. I can't remember is the sprocket on that side but that is a seal that is pobably leaking too. hope this will help.

do you know about the one under the fly wheel or the kick stater can they just be pressed in

If you can see the seal its on the outside. Your bike is quite rare, its been a long time since I worked on one, I mostly worked on 85s and 86s. If its anything like an 85 you take the clutch apart and slide the shifter shaft out the clutch side and you can see the seal. Do you mean the seal on the outside of the main bearing.. I looked at my manual shifter sprocket seals are both on the out in 85, hope 84 is too.

they look like they are on the out because i can see the part number on the seal so dose this mean if i get that out i can just put a new one in with out spliting the case thanks for the help
