is your timing right on? If the spark is too weak then it might not burn all the gas. Did you put a higher compression piston in or just a regular replacment piston in?

i noticed today that the gas screw on the carb was just about screwed all the way out i screwd it in where it should be and it runs good i rode it for about 30 min. i think the problem was the screw was vibrating out when i was riding it i put a longer spring in it and it works fine now

what about firing on theses does any of them have much fire or are all of them weak
mine is in time

still having promblems with carb. when i start it, it will idel but when i give it a little gas it dies.
when i do get it runing it sounds like it is starving for gas. carb. is clean and not stoped up, or the gas line either.

Matt: Moving the clip up will lean your bike out. If you can not lean it out enough your main jet is too big or your needle seat is wallowed out.

300ex: Clean your carb out well then try to run it again. If it still runs like that and the plug is wet with gas move your clip up to lean it out. If it is wet with oil you have a hole nother problem!!!
