fouled plug on 185s

Default fouled plug on 185s

ive got an 83 honda 185s.just got her to crank but she runs then dies out. i pulled the plug after she died and it was wet with gas.can anyone tell me why this might be happening?any info will be apprecieated thanks.

Default fouled plug on 185s

if the spark plug is wet it means its getting to much gas. try adjusting the air mixture screw on the bottom of the carb or move the clip up or down to see if it makes a differents

correct, but wrong also! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
wet plug could be:
bad air filter
choke is on
carb settings
ignition problems IE: plug, wire, coil, mag, on/off switch, chassis ground, wiring

hondaman300ex.....you said "just got her to crank but" what was wrong with it? Did you buy it not running, or was it just setting for a long time?
