big red engine removal

do i need to remove the transmission and started assembly to pull the motor out on my 84 big red?

Nope, remove the frame mounts, brake cables and carb. It takes a lot of twisting, but it will slide right off the drive shaft. I had mine out in under an hour, less to put it back in.
