gas tank dent

Other then the drill hole and pull, you can sometimes seal the tank, and use compressed air to push the dent out.
Don't add air too quick, you want just enough to push the dent, too much will explode the tank. Assuming you can get enough of a seal of course, which is hard.
Can you live with it? Call it a battle scar and show it off. I have a small dent in my 200s, but it doesn't subtract much fuel capacity and I really don't care.
If all else fails, a little bondo and some paint can cover it up. AT least I think so, I have never been close to a big red so I can't tell where the dent it or what it would affect by your description.

You could try an old trick, fill the tank almost full of water and put it in the freezer, the water will expand about 20% as it freezes. If you git it right that will push the dent out, If you put too much water in you could split the tank so start low and work up till the dent is gone. Water is better than air presure, If the tank explodes with air you may die with water you will only need a new tank Good Luck WJW
