i bougth a brand spanken new pull ropefor my 185s snd it roted in just a week
when i went to take off the houseing for the statring mechizim some water came out is there some kind o seal that has went bad? is there any way to make a pullcord to last longer? :disgust;

 

i had to change my rope on my 185 today but it was the original rope =) 25 year old rope they dont make em like they used to. but as for a seal yea the gasket has a rubber lining around it to help keep water out mines going bad too soon

 

I will sell you my pull ropes from two 185s models, but you have to take the bikes too.
