Default No spark 250sx

Okay, I just bought a 85' 250sx, and it doesnt get spark i have another 250sx same year so i was trying to switch parts back and forth to trouble shoot but still i cant find out why i dont get spark. i switched the kill switch, coil, rectifier, cdi box, and the magneto. But still nothing i put all those parts onto my good running machine and it still fires up no problems. I cleaned up some of the wires but im not having any luck. I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks.. Dale

have you replace the pick up coil behind the magneto, you have to remove the pull start if there is one, and use a 15.00 puller tool , then solder a new 13.00 coil in place, its gonna be the one on top i believe , take about an hour to do it all, but it will bring new life to your atv

No i havent tried that when i did the magneto all i did was unplug all the wires, and switch the left cases on the trikes cause the magnetos are held onto the left case. But now for some reason i do have spark but its just barely there, nothing compared to my other trike. It takes about 10 kicks to get it started and when she starts it seems to run real good i can rev it up and everything but when i put it in gear it stalls the second i touch the gas. Its got blue spark but i was wondering if i ran a hotter plug would it have more spark also or be just hotter.

Try a hotter plug see if that dose any better. Make shure your magneto, and stator is clean no rust is acceptiable. Your going for white spark blue spark is ok but white is the hottest and the best kind of spark clean your carb even tho it runs good in neutral and if that still dont work let me know.
