Good Morning, I have a 1984 Honda Big Red 200 and having a heck of a time getting the front tire off. I took off the lock nut and disconnected the brake linkage, but can not get the axle off. I've heated it up and pounded so much I messed up the threads.

Is there something else holding that axle on besides the axle nut?

make sure you loosen the 4 screws that lock in the front axle (left side on fork next to axle) then just drop a long screwdriver in the the holes in the axle and it should just twist out.
