Default 1986 200X gas tank

I need a gas tank for a 200X and can't find one anywhere!!

Does anyone know where I can find one? My tank leaks along the bottom outside edge where the tank is pressed together but no matter what I do I can not stop the leak!!

My 200X is like brand new but I haven't been able to ride it for 2 years because of this tank =[

I looked on ebay but it looks like the tanks are for 1985 and earlier models, will this fit on a 1986? It almost looks like where it bolts to the frame is different..

83-85 and 86-87 are different. You can get one on bikebandit.com If you were close I know a guy that would have one in good condition. Where are you located?

You haven't used it for 2 years because of it!!! If the tank is still nice just clean and seal it with POR-15 or Redkote. Follow the instructions exactly though. Or take it to a radiator shop and have pay them to clean and seal it.

You Could also try Clark
They make Plastic replacment tanks
May be a more cost effective way to go
The new fuels we have to use are harsh on tanks
Good luck

You could also try cleaning out and reseal like they do on older car fuel tanks
Or a radiator shop could seal
Good luck
