I have a problem starting my trike it is an 85 250sx. I can kick it over 4 or 5 times before it grabs and turns the engine over. This can be a pain in the cold winters. I have replaced the entire kickstarter and rachet assembly and both clutchs. And it still does the same thing!!! Any Ideas?

 

Early 200x's had this problem too and you have to split the cases on them to replace a kick start gear that probably has the teeth broke off it except for a couple and thats where it grabs. It isn't that bad of a job, give it a try.
