200S slight carb problems
#1
I have a 200S which i bought a new carb for last friday took it out on sunday and today and ran outta gas today and wen i refilled i noticed there was fuel leaking from the overflow pipe on the carb ive sprayed the inside of the carb lightly with carb cleaner spray but still leaks. The bike still starts and runs as usual I need this fixed as gas prices are rocketing and i cant afford to be loosing so much fuel

Sounds like 1 or 2 things. Maybe your float is stuck.....or the float is out of adjustment. Most if not all of the 200s had plastic floats I believe which would mean prob not out of adjustment unless someone bent the little stop piece. ...or opened the carb upside down and didn't see the little needle fall out...lol You say you bought a new carb for it? If so is it an asian carb? If so chances are it's stuck.
Try this: Turn fuel OFF. Unscrew the small screw at the bottom of the bowl of the carb (to drain fuel left in bowl) Once it's empty close the screw back up. Then turn fuel on. Wait a minute or two. If there is a minute or two before the fuel starts leaking back out then you KNOW its the float. If it leaks "try" using something mildly hard to knock on the bowl of the carb. (you are trying to free the float) Sometimes this works and never happens again. Sometimes it doesn't...if it doesn't let me know.
Thanks
