trikezilla?
I am a Diehard fan of 3 wheelers and quadzillas, actaully any sport machine from the 80's is great for me, which leads to my situation. When I bought my zilla it came with an extra engine with low hours and in great shape. I would love to build a 3 wheeler frame around this wonderful powerplant. Are there any frame builders left out there who have a clue as to how to make trike frames? Now a friend of mine and I have solved the front suspension issues for most trikes by (this is still in process on another project) making fatter clamps to hold the fat inverted forks off of 85cc MX bikes. I would like to make it as OEM as possible (full floater suspension, t-back seat, and hardware). Any input would be helpful, I think this would be great MX track and fast desert fun.

I considered that, but they are simply too small and have flaws that would only be magnified by the massive power output. We've all seen the KX/CR 500 powered trikes and they are always hill shooters, for this project to work tis frame is in many ways have to be like the quad it came out of, long wide and in general very large, but light. I'm pencilling up drawing in my spare time the more I do the more the rear end looks like a zilla with a +2 swingarm.

The front Forks are 06 Showa 47mm the same ones that come on the 06 CRF 450R. I modified them to 11" travel (-1" from CRF)
The triple clamps are my design built by a private triple clamp manufacture. ( He builds clamps for severall pro race teams and riders ) I actually have two differant designs avalible. The differance is the fork off set from the stem. Basically i can put the forks in two positions by 1 1/2" front to back. this allows a differant weight bias for differant conditions/set ups. I will be designing others as well. I can also build triples to suit each conversion i do.
The weight of my trike varies with parts installed. The pictures you see is the my personal MX set up. I have differant Axles/Swingarms/Shocks/Wheels/Pipes Ect. that alter the weight But the Base starting weight with all stock TRX parts,... ie swingarm/pipe ect,...is 315lbs. Less then a 350X but more then a 250R.
