Default Rusty

After running my 200x for a while, I was looking at the plug to check on engine condition after a fresh top end (just in time for the snow) and noticed that it was rusty red in color???? The plugs before rebuild were carbon fouling. Now no carbon ,only the rusty colored stuff (easily cleaned btw) Could this be from a rusty tank?

I will drain the fuel and clean the tank/ filter and maybe that will help.......Any thoughts???

red is the molecular color for iron, like black if for carbon. but if you had rust flakes i would think it would have pluged your carb and fuel lines noticeably before your spark plug. i would deffinately clean the tank, lines, carb. there is some sort of metal tank coating that iv heard good things about. i would try that
