82 Honda 185s Randomly Dies
#1
Ok, so I’m really stumped on this. My 185s runs great...usually. 99% of the time i can walk out an it starts on the first pull. However, it may be 2mins or 30mins an it will randomly die. It will run strong, then out of the blue it’s like you hit the kill switch. After that, sometimes it will start back up, (but usually dies soon after), and using the electric start dosnt make a difference. You can throttle it up, let it sit, dosnt matter, it’ll die when it’s ready to die. Im thinking ignition coil, since it’s just shutting off like a switch, but why so randomly? Any other ideas? This is what’s been done so far:
Brand New Carb
New Air Filter & Intake tubes
New Spark Plug
New Fuel Lines
New Petcock
Oil Changed
Fuel Tank thoroughly cleaned
Valves Adjusted
Tried adding a video from my phone of if dying, but can’t seem to get it uploaded.
