83 200E headlight switch and push starter switch doesnt work
Hello got back in the ATC world about 6 months ago with a 84 200es went through the whole bike just about everything new , its running great it was all mostly cosmetic .
Now on to my 83 i found about 3 months ago it was a all complete bike down to the front and back racks air box was 100% intact a good but for parts , so i always try and get the bike started before pouring any money into it couldnt get nothing by jumping through the solenoid , so i put on a shelf unit and got the bike to turn over with a rebuilt carb started right up actually runs better than my 84 lol! so had to replace the key switch since the keys were gone , my problem is the push button start switch and headlight switch neither work , ive took apart and cleaned with electric contact cleaner both switches and cleaned the insides 100% , headlights wont work and tail light wont work but will if hooked up to a external battery they will so all bulbs are good. i can jump it off or pull start it fires right up , even the kill switch on the handle bars works cut's the bike off after running , so im probably overlooking something ive went over everything several times , all fuses are good and and all connections look good , so im open to any and all solutions and suggestions , thanks for any and all help anyone can provide .
