I have an 83 YT125 TRI-Moto that Im tring to sell I know I can get 350 for it if it runs good, but there is one small problem. When i start it it idles perfect. But when i take off ond open it up for a while then let off the gas it boggs down and quits. Do any of you have any Idea why it does that?

Sounds like your valves to me. I had the same problem with my mojave. It was hard to start also. Once i got it started it would get it into about 4th gear it would just die like it ran out of gas. You might just need to adjust them.

I had a 185s at one time. It was doing the same thing. It would run for about 15 min. then die like it ran out of gas. It took me about 6 months to figure it out, but it was the gas cap vent! I put a new cap on it and that problem never happened again. good luck.

My tri-moto 125 did somthing like that for a while only it got to the point of not even being somthing you could ride. It turned out to be the carb., but I don't know what was wrong with the carb because I had another on hand and just switched them.

I have an '83 Tri-Moto 125 also. Sounds to me like you need to remove your carb and clean it out. Check the float level. It should be around .827in. when held at an angle. Needle side of float should be held up at an 11o'clock position. Hope this helps.
