Even when I put new plugs in my ATC 3 wheeler will, on occasion, foul the plug so bad I get no fire, and I must take the plug out, clean it off, and or put a new plug in to get it to run. She doesn't seem to burn much oil so I really wonder how or why this happens.

Probably runnin rich. Do ya have a lot of black soot around the exaust pipe? My guess is the carb. If you get black "smoke" its probably to rich, blue is oil.

Yeap it's black fouling of the plugs and black soot around the exhaust. The jets in the carb are brand new. I have tried making the mixture more lean and we will see how that goes.

what kind of trike do you have? you need to rebuild and thoroughly clean out the carb...not lean the mixture more on a 2stroke. you could do some damage that way.

The carb has been completely rebuilt. Everything in there is squeaky clean and the jets have been replaced. It's a four stroke, not a two stroke.
