I was riding today and I was in first gear barely puttin along when I heard one clunk, followed by two more, no grinding or rubbing, just clunking. After the last clunk, the motor locked up and the kickstart wont go down. I took it home and took the smaller cove on the rightside off that covers the first two gears of the kickstart. The gears had rotated too far back and one tooth was broke off the first gear(Farthest forward). I havent taken the side cover all the way off yet, but so far, I cant find the tooth. Does anyone know where it might be hiding?? If you do, please let me know so I can remove it. Also, if I cant find it, I will most likely be parting it out if a rebuild is too expensive. This really blows and I hope it doesnt cost too much.

Honda had a recall on the 200x kickstart gears----18 years ago! Guess your bike never got the new/improved gears back then.

Oh really..... Can u give me some more info on the recall, I'd like to know where abouts you found this out and what years it covered. Maybe I can get a little discount on the parts that way.
