clutch adjust atc 90
#2
On the right side of the engine there is a black rubber cap in the centre of the case.Take the rubber cover off by peeling it with your fingers. You will see a 14 mm nut with a slotted bolt in the centre. That is the adjustment screw. Put a screw driver in the slot and with a 14mm ring spanner, loosen the nut about half a turn but try to keep the screw driver still. When the nut is loose, keeping the spanner on the nut to stop it turning, screw the the slotted centre bolt left(anti-clockwise) until it just starts to feel tight. Now back it off 1/8 of a turn. Hold it in that position with the screwdriver and retighten the nut. That's it.
They have two oil filters. They both require taking off the clutch cover. You will see one right down at the bottom of the centre case. Its hard to see first time, keep looking. It is about 1 1/2" by 1' square fine mesh with rubber sides. Pull it out with long nose pliers a clean it.
The other one is a centrifigul filter. On the clutch , undo the two small phillips screws and take off the plate. In the centre of the clutch you will see black junk that has been spun out and stuck to the sides.Scape it off there and also from under the plate you took off.
