Help....
I have an '82 honda 185s atc. Did some serious muddin' with it on the week-end and I noticed the light was dimmer. Every once in a while it would flash really bright, so I took the fly-wheel off in order to clean the connections and check the stater plate ( I think that's what it's called???) . BAD MOVE... Had a b!tch of a time getting it off. All I thought I did was clean up teh connections and lightly sandpaper the magnets on the Fly-wheel...put it back together - no spark!!. Took it back apart and noticed a mark on the top coil (probably an errant move with the scredriver getting the f-wheel off). 3-4 little copper wires are damaged...Is this the problem???? Can I just glob some solder in there??? or is it new stator time???
Any help would be appreciated....
Thanx

No...I used it for prying to get a that nut off...then I didn.t have the patience to make a puller, I thought a little playing with it and would pop right off. After about an hour- i made the puller (valuable lesson learned !) and popped the flywheel off no-prob. Now I notice that 3-4 copper wires are cut...Anyway got a new stator on order- now I need to know how to put the sucker in... Can I just take out the bolts holding the stator and pop the other in??? Or will something shift in there and screw the timing all up??? thanx for the help....
