I just pulled out quad and I do have rollers in all 4 directions. After I got it out and backed the cable loose, I was surprised to be able to spin the lower roller with my finger! And the cable does straighten out more to the front when lifting the plow up.
NEXT PROBLEM W/ PLOW BLADE! the blade for my purposes is angled too far forward at bottom, which of course is why they call it a plow, but its not forgiving when running into broken concrete, stopping me dead in my tracks, and had I been going any faster, might have hurled me forward in front of the beast, then I could see it snarling while plowing me on down the street lol There is another notch, to allow for less of a pitch but made very little difference! I think I would puffer the blade to be almost at 90 deg to ground, but there's no other adjustment/notches, unless I make them myself. You fellers ever reworked yours or do you have this same problem, and if so did it still plow well? I just had to get back out on this machine, since is begging me to drive it, so any excuse would do, I plowed neighbors out again lol Don't forget to plug them batteries back in, the temps are a fallen near 0 again!

What do you guys think of this, new 14' atv trailer w/ side load! $1600. This is the size I've been looking for but was hard to find. would your sxs fit along with my 4x4?

Does yor blade have feet on boths that holds the edge slightly above the surface? This would make the final adjustment for keeping the blade from digging in. On my old blade I made my own feet but my current blade has big adjustable round feet so you can easily adjust how far off the surface you want the blade. Without the feet your blade is free to dig in. Tilting the top of the blade will make it dig in more, but tilting the blade top rearward it helps keep the blade from digging in, however without skids or the feet on the back of the blade it is gonna dig in no matter what. My feet keep the bottom edge of the blade about 3/4" in above the surface for my gravel drive. If I plow pavement I will leave 3/4" of snow. As far as your trailer goes...I need 57" wide to get thru but the SxS might be pretty heavy sitting on the very front with only your quad in the back. I prefer towing my own in my encloed trailer and dont care if it costs me extra fuel driving seperately. Can you get two quads side to side facing forward? Cant tell what the inside width of that trailer is by looking at the pic. Would be cool if you could get 4 quads on there, would never want to wrestle a quad over that rail.

Hidden things under the snow has always been a concern for plow operators. One of the reasons your blade needs to fold over when it hits something. You should have two springs holding the blade back against the stop. By adjusting the tension on those 2 springs it will control how much pressure it takes to fold over the blade. Mine is adjusted to a full blade of heavy wet snow wont fold but if I hit something like my concrete pad I park the MH on it will fold over and run right over it without throwing me out of the seat.

BINGO! If the blade isn't tripping, it's not set right. AFAIK I can't adjust the tilt of my blade forward and back and couldn't on my other plow either. I tightened both of my springs enough to take the slack out, plus tightened the nuts maybe 1/2" more. One slab of my driveway is heaved up a bit on one corner. If the blade didn't trip I'd be slamming into it really hard. It's bad enough that if I stop in just the right spot sometimes I'll spin my wheels and the blade will tilt halfway but I don't move. At that point the plow doesn't want to lift because of the tension on the blade, and I have to back up and try it again. Loosen up both springs, take the slack out, and tighten them about the thickness of the nuts beyond that. You can see how it works and go from there. You shouldn't have to tighten new springs very much for it to work right, but as they start to stretch out you need to keep them snugged up. Nobody likes floppy springs.

I checked the springs tension, location holes, on side of plow, and already noticed their set at the lightest setting. I'm really ''afraid'' of taking it out again, since I'm not sure where, the slightest fault, in the concrete, around the neighborhood, might stop me dead in the snow lol I need to do something fast, were supposed to get another 3-4'' in next couple days, on top of what we already have....the neighbors are counting on me lol
I might have to drastically redesign this thing, possibly making it hard for resale if it just doesn't work out!
Hey, were already into MARCH, dudes! Its getting warmer....NOT!! Forecasting cold/real cold/below 0 freeze for first half of the month! Still days are staying light, much longer, and sun much higher, in sky, already! Lets not ditch winter too soon, still got some wheeler running/playing to do, while its still legal to do, as long as I'm sporting, plow on, and as long as I keep it up off pavement, that is lol
Here's a much better example of my ''extreme plowing fear'' of hitting dangerous concrete edges! could you imagine me being hurled out in front of that ''big cold steel blade''....Oh the humanity!

Looks like your dealer did not set this up at all. No way should you be thrown off that machine by hitting something life a curb stop. You do not need to jury rig something either. Your instructions that came with the plow should give easy instructions on blade tilting or look up the plow mfg on the net and get instructions there. If there are no feet on the back of the blade for the blade to rest on, ask where they are. Every blade combo I looked at had them. Just keep loosening the springs until your blade will fold while pushing snow, then tighten a little until it stops folding..better yet go back to your dealer and make them do it! Looks more and more like a poor install by your dealer.

You know what worked for me, years ago, and I used it for a few years, was building a plow 5' wide 2' high out of 1/2'' plywood w/ 2x4 framing that I mounted to my tractor, with metal skid skis, since there was no way to lift it, so it pushed snow forward real well, then would slide back to plow in other directions. I mainly just wanted to see if it would work, more than anything needed long term, and it worked better than my plow does now lol the point I'm trying to make is that with the plow I made was at 90 deg from ground, straight up, no angle, so it didn't dig down, just moved snow forward, so never catching into concrete cracks. I understand your saying the feet thing, but in lite gravel would churn it up, like a hot knife in butter lol With the plow I made, had skies that slid over the soft pea gravel, not disturbing it. Maybe I'll remove my plow and buy some plywood, and lumber, and buy a hydraulic power lift, like the heavy county trucks use lol then this monster plow would be so heavy it would sink on its own weight 4' into the drive lol Winter is coming to an end soon....there saying, then I'll have bigger fish to fry, like where do we ride this year?????
Well lately I've been eyeballing the west side of the state, just east of Silver lake, Little 0, big 0 and tin cup, near Baldwin, Mi. Anyone ridden there before? Check out YouTube vid. looks pretty good, w/ many good reviews! Not too many hills, which I really enjoy climbing, but any new place will work right about now....or as soon as weather permits lol check it out!

If you would just add the blade skids you would have the same effect rather than some dorky looking plywood on the front of that nice machine. If needed make the skids larger to keep them on top of the gravel. The only reason your blade is not working well is because it is not set up properly. Another thing you could do along with the feet is to add the rubber along the bottom edge, that keeps the blade from digging into your gravel and just allows it to wipe over the surface. If your blade is riding on the pavement when you plow then your blade will wear quickly. I have no issues with mine whether pavement of gravel, just snap it on, plow, then flip a lever and it drops right off As far as other riding areas, I am interested, nothing wrong with St Helen area as it is all new to me, but always interested in exploring other areas just have to keep the orv trails only in mind and stay off the atv only trails. Your atv can ride on my orv trails but my orv machine cant go on your atv only trails!! Actually been looking at other areas my self based on other peoples recommendations. Going to start looking at a bigger garmin gps unit, mine works but is quite small so a bigger screen would be a big help to these tired old eyes, that along with the Polaris ride command should keep me from getting lost. Usually remove the cab enclosure sometime near the end of april depending on weather, so after it is off I will be looking at hitting the trails again. Would also be interested in getting a small group together to make the trip to Hatfield/McCoy trails in WV.....been there twice and the place is awesome!! Long haul but well worth it, would be looking at least a 5 day trip, one day there and back with 3 days of trail riding. And there trails make no difference whether SxS or atv, there ar some motorcycle only trails and some that allow 4x4 and winch only, no sport machines. Lots of hills, deep forrest, riding into town, very offroad friendly area!

I'm ok with you planning the trails we take, just try to keep us off the roads as much as possible, too dangerous, I prefer trails, much easier on tires as well. I can only remember one place in all the trails we took, that was posted for ATV's, no wider than 50'', and we didn't take it. From what I've read, those trails are supposed to be well marked now, with 4x4 posts. like the one set we found.
Chris from the forum here, ride Hatfield/McCoy trails a few times a year, with his friends, and also agree its a great trip! Here's a video he took of one of their trips.

This is his video from Little 0 trip.

I've got to get a decent helmet cam, the one I have, just doesn't have a wide enough lens. You get the GPS and I'll get the camera and I'll take videos of you doing wheelies up Bull Gap lol
