Default Knee Pads

Does anybody on here that races wear knee pads? What brand do you have? Do they get in the way? I don't want to loose any flexability but the side panels on my predator are kill'n my knees so I'm gona have to do something.

I do Mud Races and I too wear Fox pivots, nice and confortable. I suggest that you get some quick before you do some serious ridding because you can easily hurt your knee, and you will regret not wearing some if you hurt it, I nearlly broke my petella (aka knee) when i had to jump off a 300ex( was pointing straight down so i had no choice) I just had my knee sprained

Wear any type of knee pads. Don't end up like me. I shattered my knee when I went head on with a dirt bike. If I was wearing knee pads, I would have walked away not ended up in the hospital for five days. I wear a EVS knee braces. They a big but work every well.

Get a knee brace like the Fox or Thor that have a strap on the top as well. The pivot ones are the best. If you use a cheap one, they have a tendency to slide down and you lose your protection.

I bought a cheap pair of the thor knee shin guards. You won't really notice them if you get them in place...plus once the adreneline kicks in, you don't think much about the knee pads. They work great for deflecting roosts in the knees, deflecting predator tank plastic, and incase of a getoff...you will feel much better the next day!!
